This policy explains what JSONFormatView processes, what stays on your device, and which third-party services may receive ordinary website usage information.
Effective and last updated: 24 July 2026. Contact the publisher if you have a privacy question or deletion request concerning data the publisher controls.
JSON documents and local storage
JSON text you paste, type, or open is processed by application code in your browser. JSONFormatView does not send that document content to its own server for formatting, validation, repair, viewing, comparison, minification, or conversion.
The current document library, document names, theme, and editor preferences may be stored in your browser’s local storage. You can remove them by deleting documents in the interface or clearing site data in browser settings. Clearing browser data may be irreversible.
Hosting logs and analytics
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, time, and security events to deliver and protect the site.
JSONFormatView uses Google Analytics and Simple Analytics to understand aggregate visits and feature usage. Analytics events are designed not to include pasted JSON, document contents, or document names. Browser settings, consent controls where offered, or content-blocking tools may limit analytics.
Advertising
If advertising is enabled after publisher approval, Google and its partners may use cookies, device information, IP address, and browsing activity to serve, measure, and protect ads subject to applicable consent requirements. Ad personalization availability depends on region and user choices.
JSONFormatView does not ask users to click ads and does not intentionally place ads inside editor controls, dialogs, navigation, download actions, or empty/error states. Google’s own privacy and advertising controls govern data processed by Google.
External links, retention, and contact
External sites have their own privacy practices. Local JSON documents remain until you delete them or the browser clears storage. Aggregate analytics and hosting data follow the retention settings of the respective provider.
For privacy questions, email privacy@jsonformatview.com. Do not include confidential JSON or credentials in an email report. This policy may change when services or legal requirements change; the updated date will be revised.
